TEGoVA : The European Group of Valuers' Associations
At European level, for several years there has been official certification which recognises the valuers’ competence and earnestness: REV certification. It is awarded individually for a period of 5 years.
In France, the responsibility of awarding REV certification REV has been granted to the Chamber of Property Valuers of France FNAIM by TEGoVA (The European Group of Valuers’ Associations), a European organisation of property valuers which brings together 63 associations in 35 countries.
REV certification, created in 2006 by TEGoVA offers investors, financial institutions, large companies and players in the construction sector, in addition to the guarantee of the European Valuation Standards, a trans-European personal indicator of excellence based on experience and competence.
The main objective of TEGoVA is the creation and distribution of harmonised European standards for the practice of the evaluation, training and qualification of expert valuers. Today, 63 associations from 35 countries, including the CEIF, are accredited in order to issue REV certification to their best valuers.
COFARIS EVALUATION valuers are REV-certified in order to meet the regulatory requirements (in accordance with the Mortgage Credit Directive 2014/17/EU of the European Parliament).
